PU Boards and Blocks from ebalta – technical standard and high-quality surfaces combined
Areas of application for ebalta’s polyurethane boards and blocks, which have been tested over many years, are diverse: The Ureol board ebaboard PW 920 with a density of 1.22 g/cm³ is used for high abrasion resistant moulds, foundry patterns and core boxes. The design board ebaboard 0700 with a density of 0.70 g/cm³ is used for models and moulds with a high-quality surface. The individual PUR plastic block, made of ebablock® P 185 with a density of 1.85 g/cm³, is used for cast-to-size master models and series components.
International distribution partners with their own warehouse worldwide ensure the availability of the modelling and tooling boards.
ebaboard Polyurethane Boards for Tool Making
The high abrasion resistant ebaboard polyurethane boards from ebalta are the ideal choice when manufacturing technically demanding foundry patterns and fixtures such as core boxes, forming tools or bath models for galvanic tools made of Ureol plastic. The PU boards are therefore preferably used where a high-quality, dense and homogeneous surface coupled with good edge stability and high abrasion resistance are required.
ebaboard hard plastic boards from ebalta are characterised above all by their excellent processing qualities. These include very low generation of dust during milling, a low coefficient of linear expansion and high strength values.
The different delivery dimensions, with a stand width of 500 mm, range from 1000 to 1500 mm in length and thicknesses from 30 to 100 mm. Specific customer requirements that go beyond this are available on request as customised products.

ebaboard Polyurethane Boards for Design
Polyurethane boards are not only used in production, but also in direct processing as inspection models, data control or master models for design applications, among other things. Due to their dense surface and very fine structure, ebaoard PU boards for design can be processed very well and subsequently finished very well. The result is high-quality design models, master models or foundry patterns, especially from the high-quality established polyurethane board ebaboard 0700.
The ebaboard polyurethane boards for design with matching adhesives and repair putties are available in the standard dimensions 1500 x 500 x 30/50/75/100/150/200 mm and on request as customised models.

ebablock® Polyurethane Blocks in Individual Dimensions
Large models, moulds and tools with demanding geometries can easily be cast jointless and in one piece in our ebablock®. ebablock® stands for a customised semi-finished part made of polyurethane.
There are three types of ebablock®
- Rectangular blocks made to size
- Moulds close to the contour: Shaped semi-finished parts based on the contour with simplified mould construction from wood and inlays
- Near-net-shape block: A cast-to-size block manufactured according to your CAD data with a machining allowance of + 15 mm. These moulded parts are produced using a polystyrene or polyurethane foam negative with polystyrene displacers.
Semi-finished products made of individually manufactured ebablock® are also in great demand for series parts, on the one hand thanks to the high-quality thermal properties of the polyurethane, and on the other hand thanks to the economic advantages. This is because ebablock® can be quickly and repeatedly cast and manufactured in very simple moulds. Examples of the successfully used series parts are the series plastic rings made of PU block material.
The advantages of ebablock® at a glance
Almost all ebaboard polyurethane boards from ebalta are offered as jointless cast-to-size blocks. The product range includes blocks with low density from 0.8 g/cm³ for design model making up to 1.85 g/cm³ for all areas of mould and tool making. Depending on volume and effort, the contourless plastic block is delivered very fast.
