Practice day for trainees in Biedenkopf
For more than 20 years, ebalta has been involved in the model building department of the vocational schools in Biedenkopf in Hesse and promotes the training of young model builders with material and know-how. Every year there is a joint practice day, where the ebalta experts impart in-depth knowledge of synthetic resin processing to the trainees.
At this year’s practical day, the trainees in the 2nd year of training were given the task of developing a bottle opener that was to be cast from polyurethane and epoxy resin parts. In addition, a magnet had to be cast into the bottle opener to secure the crown cap from falling. Another condition was the coloring of at least one component, and additional metal parts could also be cast to reinforce heavily stressed areas. A tricky task, in which the ebalta sales staff Volker Dietz and Carsten Giertz supported and advised the trainees.
“The results of our working day together are really impressive,” concludes Volker Dietz. “I am very satisfied and I am pleased with how much commitment and perseverance the young people put into the task. And it was a lot of fun for me and my colleague to pass on our knowledge.”
