If it says EF on it, it’s sustainable
For us, sustainability is not a trend, but has been an integral part of our corporate strategy for many years. We use the „EF – eco friendly” label to identify materials that meet our high standards of environmental compatibility
This includes products taht contain at least 40 percent renewable raw materials and / or at least 10 percent residual or recycled material.
Our EF range is growing continuously – for more and more sustainable solutions with responsibility.
An overview of our EF product range:

Polyurethane Boards for Design and Tool Making
ebalta PU boards are the material of choice when high-quality surfaces and specific technical requirements are needed. Our boards for toolmaking are highly abrasion-resistant and therefore ideally suited to the manufacture of technically sophisticated jigs and mould bases. Thanks to their dense surface and very fine structure, ebaboards for design are very easy to machine and subsequently finished very well.
For our ebaboards in the EFseries, we use either recycled material or polyols derived from renewable raw materials. The result: eco-friendly plastics with the proven, perfect technical properties.
ebaboard 610 EF
Area of application: Design
For master models, data control models, vacuum forming tools or postcuring tools.
🌱 Contains 87% residual / recycled material.
ebaboard 1150 EF
Area of application: Tool Making
For foundry models, core boxes, form recordings, gauge construction.
🌱 Contains 58.2% renewable raw materials.
Epoxy boards for racing and vehicle construction
ebalta’s epoxy boards offer consistent mechanical properties. They are highly heat-resistant, have a very low coefficient of linear expansion and a very fine surface texture. This makes them ideal, for example, as master models for prepreg tools or as moulds and tools for composites.
Our EF-series epoxy resin sheets are characterised by a high proportion of recycled material. This enables us to achieve significant CO2 savings compared to a standard EP sheet.
EP 138 EF
🌱 Contains 76.4% residual / recycled material.
An 89.7% reduction in the carbon footprint compared to a standard EP board.
EP 139 EF
🌱 Contains 74.8% residual / recycled material.
An 76.7% reduction in the carbon footprint compared to a standard EP board.
duranity – eco-friendly PU casting resin for climbing holds
We have developed the eco-friendly duranity casting resins in collaboration with renowned industry partners specifically for the manufacture of climbing holds. PU holds are lightweight and therefore easy to pack and transport. Thanks to the material’s high strength and stability, PU climbing holds can be manufactured with very thin wall thicknesses. From the outset, our shared aim was to develop an environmentally sustainable material.
We have succeeded in this: duranity casting compounds not only impress with their technical properties, which are optimally tailored to the production of climbing holds, but they also contain a high proportion of raw materials from renewable sources. For the duranity product, we also calculate the carbon footprint (cradle to grave) and offset unavoidable emissions through investments in meaningful climate protection projects.
duranity 1914 EF
🌱 Contains 43% renewable raw materials.
duranity flex 2310 EF
🌱 Contains 40% renewable raw materials.
