Our balance sheet takes into account both our <a href=\"https:\/\/ecz.fyi\/de\/DE-077-559015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">company&#8217;s emissions<\/a> (Scope 1 and 2)* and those of our <a href=\"https:\/\/ecz.fyi\/en\/DE-077-260074\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">duranity climbing holds<\/a>. We work with <a href=\"https:\/\/natureoffice.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">natureOffice<\/a> to provide transparent proof of our efforts. We offset the remaining emissions by investing in meaningful climate protection projects.<\/p>\n<p>We have also prepared a corresponding carbon footprint for 2024 and offset the unavoidable emissions at the end of last year through natureOffice&#8217;s \u2018Germany and Togo Plus\u2019 compensation project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here we support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reforestation in Germany \u2013 regional forests are strengthened and CO\u2082 is bound.<\/li>\n<li>Reforestation &amp; development projects in Togo \u2013 soils and forests are protected, income is generated for local people, and CO\u2082 is bound in the long term.<\/li>\n<li>Solar energy projects in India \u2013 fossil fuel-based electricity production is replaced and CO\u2082 is saved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this way, we combine CO\u2082 sequestration, CO\u2082 avoidance, nature conservation and social effects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are the results of our carbon footprint for 2024:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"table-1\" style=\"--awb-margin-bottom:50px;\">\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th align=\"left\"><\/th>\n<th align=\"left\">Emissions offset in 2024<\/th>\n<th align=\"left\">Difference compared to 2023<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">Company<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">336 t CO\u2082e<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">-25 t CO\u2082e<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">Casting resin <em>duranity<\/em><\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">401 t CO\u2082e<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">-205 t CO\u2082e (~-34 %)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2 fusion-text-no-margin\" style=\"--awb-margin-bottom:80px;\"><p>The significant reduction in climbing hold materials and the improvement in our Company Carbon Footprint (CCF) compared to 2023 were made possible by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Switching to more environmentally friendly raw material alternatives<\/li>\n<li>Improved data quality, which allows us to manage even more precisely<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are aware of our responsibility as a plastics manufacturing company and therefore firmly anchored the issue of sustainability in our strategy years ago. For this reason, we will continue to pursue this issue vigorously in the future, as there is still much to be done.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p>\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014-<br \/>\n<em>* \u2018Scopes\u2019 describe the origin of greenhouse gas emissions in a carbon footprint analysis:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Scope 1 (direct emissions): Emissions from a company&#8217;s own sources, e.g. company vehicles, boilers, production facilities.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Scope 2 (indirect emissions from energy): Emissions from purchased energy, primarily electricity, district heating, steam or
